18.12.11:
LOVELY NEWS FROM ABROAD: This weekend Casper/ Zelini's
Premier League has been to shows in Vilnius, Lithuania. Yesterday he
was 2nd best dog with res. cacib, but today he really did it and took the CC,
cacib and BOB!!!! This CC will rest as we say here in Scandinavia so the
day he is old enough and gets his qualifying CC in his homecountry Finland he
will become a Lithuanian champion as well. We are soooo proud of this beautiful
boy who has had a fantastic year. He started in official classes in April this
year, and still he managed to be #2 Top ESS male in Finland and #7 Top ESS. So
far he has taken 13 CC's in the countries Finland, Russia and Lithuania and he
has passed the hunting ability test. It isn't strange that we are proud,
is it? :-) We send our sincere congratulations to his owners Nappi and Nana at
kennel Kahdensiskon! Thanks for taking such good care of this lovely boy.
26.11.11:
It was time for the last show in Norway, Dogs4All. This was the Norwegian Winner
show and new this year was that the winners of juniorclass and veteranclass got
titles as well. 33 Springers were entered under Mr. Frank Bjerklund.
Karoline (Johansen) is finally done with her education in Denmark and I am happy
that she is joining us for the shows again. Our first out was Bertil/
Zelini's Budweiser who was 3rd in juniorclass. In veteranclass Karoline
showed her Even/ NUCH. Copy-Cat Hookeys Waterhole and he won
the class with CQ, and got the title Norwegian Veteran Winner -11 (NVV-11). In juniorclass
Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal was placed 1st with CQ, and she got
the title Norwegian Junior Winner -11
(NJV-11). No 2 in this class with CQ was littersister Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick.
Last one out was Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's
Strawberry Fields Forever, and she was 4th best bitch in strong
competition. We had a lovely day with our friends and we would like to
congratulate all winners!
In Estonia there were an all breed show in Narva this day and BOS went to
Henry/ Zelini's Target Man. I don't know more than this and
hope to get more details from this show later.
13.11.11: Today Casper/ Zelini's Premier League was in another show. This time in in Valkeala in Finland where Kirsi Nieminen judged 37 Springers. Casper took one more CC and was BOS! Well done. ;-)
At
Stord there where a show today and a Viggo-daughter by the name Bobwhite's
Spring Fashion was entered. She took the CC and was BOS. Well done!! 12.11.11:
Orkdal HK had their show with Rony Doedijns judging 19 Springers. 2.
best bitch with res. CC was Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick. Owner is Dina Arnevik.
05.11.11: This day Nappi and Nana at the Kahdensiskon
kennels had taken a trip to Estonia with their Casper/ Zelini's Premier League.
They had a good day as Casper took the CC and was 4th best male.
30.10.11:
Saturday there was an International show in Seinäjoki in Finland where the
Norwegian judge Christian Geelmuyden had 55 Springers entered. 2. best male with
CC and res. cacib was Casper/ Zelini's Premier League. The
winner is an International champion already, so this cacib will go to
Casper. :-) Congratulations to Nappi and Nana at kennel Kahdensiskon.
Sunday there was an allbreed puppyshow in Sweden held by SSRK. Viggo's (CH
Zelini's West Side Story) daughter True Dice Endless Story was BOB, BIG and
BIS-4!! Huge congratulations to kennel True Dice with a fantastic ending of
her puppycareer. ;-)
18.10.11:
5 days after the debut Maya/
Zelini's Golden Goal and I entered another tracking trial. She didn't disappoint
me and got another 1st prize. We have to take a break during the winter and
think about this, and it will be exciting to see what she can do next year when
she is older and more experienced. ;-)
13.10.11:
LOVELY DEBUT:
I decided to enter Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal to a tracking
trial to see if we are training the right way. She has only gone tracks made by
me so I was looking forward to seeing how she would go a track made by a total
stranger. Maya has a tendency of looking like a question mark all the time and
she usually looks quite confused. But there was nothing confused about her and
she went fantastic! The judge gave us a 1st prize and told me Maya was the best
dog she had judged this year. Guess we must have done something right! :-)
24.-25.09.11: DOUBLESHOW IN BERGEN:
I hadn't entered any of my own dogs this weekend so I decided to fly to Bergen
instead of taking the 8 hour drive to go there. I must say I appreciated flying
for 50 minutes instead of driving alone for 8 hours. I was picked up at the
airport by Else Grindheim, kennel Bobwhite, where I was staying for the weekend.
She is the owner of Tress/
Zelini's Corona Extra who was one out of two dogs I was showing this
weekend. Little, sweet and gorgeous Tress got quite a surprise when I came
through the door. :-) The look on her face was priceless!
17.09.11: Bjerkvik Dogclub had their show in Sortland in
northern Norway and they had invited Polgar Andras from the Czech Republic to
judge. CC and BOB went to Bobby/ Zelini's Remington Sportsman,
so he "only" needs a Kennel Club CC to get his title now. He was the only
Springer to get a CQ this day. Congratulations to owner Per Jørgen
Nordstrand!
10.09.11: This day the Kennel Club had their show in Stavanger
and the Swedish judge Göran Bodegård had a little more than 30 Springers
entered. I had a quiet weekend at home myself but we were represented by Else
Grindheim's Tress/ Zelini's Corona Extra. Tress made us proud
by winning the CC and she was placed as 3rd best bitch. Well done!!
03.09.11: In Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League
was in a show in Vantaa where the Swedish judge Sara Nordin had 31 Springers in
the ring. He was 3rd best male and took his 9th CC! Congratulations to his
owners at kennel Kahdensiskon.
28.08.11: This weekend I have been as far away from dog
activities as possible. We were in Copenhagen in Denmark celebrating that my
parents have been married for 50 years. We had a wonderful weekend and our
puppybuyers have defended our honour once again. Astri Helle has managed to get
her Mocca/ NO VCH. Zelini's Caffe Mocca qualified for searching
wounded game and the judge said she was the best trackingdog in the area! How
cool is that?! ;-) Well done, girls!
21.08.11: It has been an active day in the woods for many, some
with success, others without. Well, that's how it is, isn't it? ;-) I got
a very nice text message from Torstein Solset who told me that his Tuva
(Zelini's Diamond Hunter) had won a tracking trial (18 dogs started)
and that this was one of the hardest tracks he had ever gone. He has had 2 dogs
before and one of them got 70 1st prizes so this says a lot. He was really
impressed over his dog Tuva and how she solved the problems during the track.
I am so pleased to hear it when my puppybuyers achieve different things with
their dogs and when the dogs are living up to the expectations of their owners.
It means everything to me. :-) This was Tuva's 4th 1st prize and she only needs
her showmerits to have her tracking-title. I guess we have to show her then. :-)
20.-21.08.11: DOUBLESHOW IN OSLO: Saturday the Norwegian
Kennel Club had Trudy Short (UK) judging 34 Springer. Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06
Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever (photo) was the one to defend our honour as
she went best bitch and BOS! She was BOB-veteran as well. This show was the show
where BOB and BOS-winners are qualified for Crufts. Ylva will be 9 years old in
March 2012 so I don't think I will bring her there but it is nice having a
qualified dog. :-) In the BIS-veteran final Ylva was shortlisted. It was an
American judge so I had no expectations of a placement.
13.08.11: In Mikkeli in Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier
League took CC and BOS. This is his 8th CC in Finland in addition to
the junior-CC he has in Russia. Now four dogs from this litter has won a total
of 16 CC's, and they just turned 13 months!!!! Two others have taken res-CC's
and the rest of the litter is not shown. I guess I don't have to tell you
how pleased and proud I am of this litter. :-)
09.08.11: GOOD NEWS FROM ESTONIA:
06.-07.08.11: Even though we have stayed home this weekend, the Zelini's
have had a good weekend. ;-) Saturday Casper/ Zelini's Premier League
in Finland took his 7th CC and was BOS. Judge was Marjo Jaakkola.
Congratulations to his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon.
29.07.11: In Ransäter in Sweden there were three shows this weekend,
starting with the show on Friday. We were only showing Friday and Swedish
judge Jan-Erik Ek judged 36 Springers. Karoline had entered her Even/
NUCH. NVCH. Copy Cat's Waterhole. He got CQ in veteranclass, but was
not placed in best dog. He was BOS veteran. Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal
was in her usual showmood, and won juniorclass with CQ. She ended up being 2nd
best bitch and took the CC!
24.07.11: CHAMPION NO. 30!!!! Champion no. 30 with Zelini-prefix was
Mocca/ Zelini's Caffe Mocca (photo) as she took her third 1st prize in
a tracking trial this day.
23.07.11: Helene Botterli and
Ville/ Zelinis' Barossa Valley had entered a tracking trial this day
and they got their second 1st prize. She just needs one more for her tracking
title now! We are crossing our fingers here.
17.07.11: In Helsinki, Finland, Casper/ Zelini's Premier League
wa on a show where Rune Fagerström judged 26 Springers. Casper took his 6th CC
and was BOS! Congratulations to his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon.
02.-03.07.11: This weekend there was two shows in Trondheim.
Saturday it was time for the Spaniel Specialty. Tress/ Zelini's Corona Extra
won
juniorclass with CQ and ended up as 3rd best bitch. 4th best bitch was her mum Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06
Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever who even was BIS-3-veteran.
19.06.11: ANOTHER CC to, Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick in
Oppdal this day. She was also 2nd best bitch. This was Izzie's fourth CC.
CLEVER VIGGO-OFFSPRING: During the weekend some of
Viggo's/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story
offspring have been to tracking trials. In Åfjord NVCH. Merjano's Barbie Girl
won a trial. She got a 1st prize of course, but I don't know if she got a Prize
of Honour. In Oslo the Dachshundclub had a trial and NVCH. SVCH. Ursa Majors
Supermario got a 1st prize and was no. 3. In Sweden SE (u)UCH. SE VCH. Creebay
Ringside Rumour tok his showchampiontitle for a little more than a month ago.
After that he has taken three 1st. prizes in tracking trials, and in very short
time he became a doublechampion. Congratulations to all of you doing so
well with Viggo's offspring. We are so proud of you all!
18.06.11: SIBLINGS WITH SUCCESS AGAIN!!!! When I woke up today the rain
was pouring down, so after a short trip out with the dogs I went back to bed. I
wasn't doing anything special today so I fell asleep quite quickly. A
couple of hours later I woke up when I got a textmessage from Finland telling me
that Casper/ Zelini's Premier League won the CC and was 2nd
best dog at an Int all breed show in Kotka. Frank Kane judged 39 Springers. If I
remember this correctly this was Casper's 5th CC and he is just 11 months.
Congratulations to kennel Kahdensiskon!
11.06.11: Karoline Johansen and Kelly/ NUCH. Zelini's
Cappuccino competed in obedience class 2 today and they won the class
with 185 points (out of 200 possible)! We are sooooo proud of them. :-)
06.06.11: WHAT A WEEK IT HAS BEEN!!!!!! The last week has been
fantastic for us! During ONE week the Zelini's have taken five CC's, three res.
CC's, one championtitle, one cacib, two x BOS, one BOB, one BOG-2 and one
BIS-veteran AND one 1st prize in a tracking trial!!!!!! And all this with no
less than 6 different dogs. ;-) Well, the last weekends results are already
listed up below. Thursday there was a show in Toijala in Finland where
Casper/ Zelini's Premier League was entered. Judge was Marjo Jaakkola
who just a few days earlier liked his sister Maya a lot. :-) She liked Casper as
well and he took the CC and was BOB! Tiina Illukka judged the group and she
placed Casper as no. 2!
Sunday Marjo Jaakkola from
Finland judged 32 Springers. Juniorclass dog was won by Bertil/ Zelini's
Budweiser (top photo) who also got CQ. Congratulations to owner Marie
Gundersen who handled him very well. Juniorclass bitch was won by Maya/
Zelini's Golden Goal who went all the way and won best bitch and took
her first CC. Maya was eventually BOS. Sister Izzie/ Zelini's
Hattrick was 2nd in juniorclass with CQ. Our veteran Ylva/ INT
NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 3rd best bitch
this day as well.
22.05.11: SUPER
DAY IN ÅLESUND! Sunnmøre HK had invited the Swedish judge Henric
Fryckstrand to judge the Springers today and he liked the Zelini's! :-) From
juniorclass Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick (right on the photo) took the CC, BOB and
BOG-3! Congratulations to owner Dina Arnevik. 2nd best bitch with res. CC was
Ville/ Zelini's Barossa Valley (on the left) owned by Helene Botterli. 21.05.11: SIBLINGS
WITH SUCCESS:
In Hamina in Finland there was an International show today and judge was
Elena Ruskovaara. Casper/ Zelini's Premier League
took his third CC and was 2nd best dog. And he is still just 10,5 months old.
:-) Congratulations to his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon. 15.05.11:
We have spent a quiet weekend at home but others have been out. :-) In
Nordfjordeid, in the western of Norway, Ellen and Torstein Solset's
Tuva/ Zelini's Diamond Hunter got her third 1st prize at a tracking
trial, so now she just need her show merits for a tracking title. Well done!
Karoline
and myself had taken the trip to Kristiansand in southern Norway for two shows
there. We had some varying
results there, and the best both days was Ylva/
INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever. Saturday, at
the KC Int Allbreed show she was 3rd best bitch and BIS-2-veteran. Sunday, at
the Spaniels Specialty 2nd best bitch and BIS-veteran! Ylva has through the
years won BIS-puppy, BIS-adult and BIS-veteran!
Saturday BSBK had their show with wellknown Frank Bjerklund, kennel
Westaway, judging 16 Springers. Theo/ Zelini's Goalgetter,
owned by Kirsten Freim Grevstad, was 2nd best dog this day and got the res. CC. Tress
got the res. CC as well and was 3rd best bitch.
Sunday it was time for the Spaniel Specialty, and judge for 20 Springers was Siv Sandø.
She was new on Spaniels and absolutely a very nice new acquaintance.
Tress won juniorclass and was eventually 2nd best bitch and she got the CC.
Congratulations to owner Else Grindheim!
I got a very nice mail from Finland regarding Viggo-son Backa Tinkerbell Just My
Taste. He has gained his tracking trial-title in a very short period of time and
with very few starts. He has taken three CC's as well and only needs a hunting
ability test to have his showchampion-title. He will do that next year. Huge
congratulations to owner Soile Hannula, and breeder Elvy Skogli Eurenius!!
In Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League has passed the
hunting ability test. Finnish Springers have to pass this test in addition to
their CC's to get their showchampion-title. Casper has already got 8 CC's and
the hunting ability test, so now he just have to be old enough to get his title.
He isn't two years untill July next year. :-)
In Finland Viggo-son Backa Tinkerbell Just My Taste got his 2nd 1st prize at a
tracking trial and he just needs one more for his title. Good luck!!!
The following day there was a Spaniel Specialty and Sue Young (UK) judged 27
Springers.
Bertil/ Zelini's Budweiser won juniorklasse with CQ but was not
placed in best dog. Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06
Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 2nd best bitch and was
BIS-veteran.
Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal was shown the same day at Elverum
where she took the res. CC.
I got a mail from Ilona Lüter in Estonia telling me that she and
Henry/ Zelini's Target Man had made their showdebut this
weekend. They did really great as Henry took junior-CC, junior-BOS and BOS. In
Estonia they can not compete for the adult-CC from juniorclass, so even though
he was best male he "only" got the junior-CC. Well done, we are so proud of you!
;-)
Sunday there were a show in Nesbyen where Stelios Makaritis judged the
Springers. Bertil/ Zelini's Budweiser took his first CC, and
was BOS. Congratulations to his owner Marie L. Gundersen. Marie's mother,
Marianne Gundersen, showed her Viggo-daughter Solleon's Avatar Neytiri (from her
own breeding) and she took her first CC and was BOB!!!! The Gundersen family
sure had a wonderful day. ;-)
In Finland a son of Viggo by the name Backa Tinkerbell Just My Taste took his
2nd CC in an Int show in Torneå. Congratulations to owner and breeder!
A Viggo-son started as well, NSVCH. Ursa Major's Supermario (owner: Vibeke
Gundersen) and he got a 1st prize as well. I have no idea how may 1st prizes he
has but that is many!
Sunday it was the Int Kennel Club all breed show. Karoline showed her Even/ NUCH. NVCH. Copy Cat's Hookey's Waterhole,
and he really showed his socks off as usual. He was 2nd best dog this day and
BIS-3-veteran. Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal won juniorclass with
CQ and was 3rd best bitch. Her grandmother Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06
Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 4th best bitch this day as well.
We would like to congratulate Frank and Stig at kennel Westaway who not only was
BOB with CH. Westaway Into the Mystic this day. He went all the way, won the
group and finally BEST IN SHOW!!!! We are really impressed over this fantastic
dog!!!
A couple of hours later I got a new textmessage. This time from Dina Arnevik who
had shown her Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick in Oppdal, and she took
the CC as well and was 2nd best bitch. This was her 3rd CC. Well done, Dina!
So it's not that bad staying at home on a rainy day when you have such clever
puppybuyers. :-)
Saturday
it was our turn again and this time it was the Int all breed KC show in Drammen.
Judge was Niels Brandstrup who had 19 Springers in the ring, and the one who
defended our honour this day was Ragg/ Zelini's Surfers Paradise.
(photo) He took the CC, cacib and BOS! With this win he got his championtitle
and he has taken his three CC's in only four shows!!! Ragg is Zelini-champion
no. 29!
Sunday there was a Spaniel Specialty in Tønsberg with Danish judge Jens Martin
Hansen judging 20 Springers. First out in juniorclass was Leon/ Zelini's
Playmaker who won the class, and ended up being 2nd best dog with res.
CC. Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06
Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 3rd best bitch and BIS-veteran.
In Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League was on the Finnish
Spaniel Club main show with about 90 Springers entered. Casper did well and was
5th best dog and got the res. CC.
The Zelini's are not just pretty, they are smart as well. ;-) On a
tracking trial this Sunday Helene Botterli started with her Ville/
Zelini's Barossa Valley. They got a very clear 1st
prize and the judge was very satsified with the co-operation between dog and the
handler. Helene was so happy to hear that!
Congratulations to you all doing so well with your Zelini's, and a million
thanks for all your hard work!!!!
28.-29.05.11:
WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!! This weekend it was time for the Spaniel Club main
show and another Spaniel Specialty the day after. Saturday Per Iversen was
invited to judge and he had 38 Springers in the ring. In juniorclass bitches we
had the two sister in action, Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick and
Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal. When we ran the last round, and he
had placed them as 1st and 2nd he said out loud: " This is a very good class but
the two first are really outstanding!!" I was so proud to be the breeder of
these two lovely youngster! :-) Izzie ended up as 2nd best bitch and she took
her second CC! Huge congratulations to owner Dina Arnevik who is doing all the
trimming and handling all by herself. Maya was 2nd in the class and ended
up getting the res. CC. Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry
Fields Forever was 3rd best bitch from veteranclass.
Casper/ Zelini's Premier League, who is living in Finland, was
in Vyborg in Russland this day and he took junior-CC, junior-BOB and
junior-BIS-2!

In Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League was BOB-junior today
at an International show in Helsinki. There were a total of 9 Springer-juniors.
He was also placed as 4th best dog.
In Ålesund here in Norway there was a Spaniel Specialty with Svein
Helgesen judging. Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick was 3rd best bitch
and she took the res. CC. Congratulations to owner Dina Arnevik.
In Sweden Viggo-son Creebay Ringside Rumour got his Swedish show champion-title
today! Huge congratulations to owner Emma Rehn and to breeder Lena Vängbo.
Grattis!!
07.05-08.05.11:
This weekend there were Zelini's in action on both Norway and Finland, and the
best result came in Finland. 10 months old Casper/ Zelini's Premier League
(photo) took his second CC and was BOB under Jouku Leiviskä. He didn't stop
there, he won the group and was even BIS-2 out of totally 306 dogs!!!
17.04.11: In Finland the success for Casper/ Zelini's Premier League is continuing. He is now in juniorclass, and he had his debute in Finland today. It went very well and he took his first CC and he was BOS as well. Congratulations to his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon who even owns the BOB-winner. They sure had a good day. ;-)
09.04.-10.04.11:
SHOW-WEEKEND IN BERGEN: After a five month showbreak it was great being
on the road again. Karoline and I found out that it was a year and a half since
the two of us have been out on the road together and it sure was about time!!! :-)
Saturday it was the Spaniel Specialty and wellknown Nicola Calvert, kennel Calvdale,
judged this time. Luckily I was allowed to handle little Tress, Zelini's Corona Extra,
at the puppyshow.
Tress was very excited to see her grandma again and she showed all the way to
BOB and BIS! Congratulations to owner Else Grindheim, kennel Bobwhite.
Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal thought it was really funny as well
and she hardly had a paw on the ground... She was 2nd in juniorclass with CQ.
Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever won
veteranclass with CQ, and was BOS-veteran.
Sunday the Kennel Club had their Internatonal all breed show and judge for
the day was Bjarne Sørensen. Among the males Theo/ Zelini's Goalgetter
had his debute ad he won juniorclass with CQ. And he didn't stop there, he ended
up as 4th best dog and got the res. CC. :-) Congratulations to the Grevstad
family who owns him and takes really good care of him. :-) His sister Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal
did just the same, she won juniorclass with CQ. She was 2nd best bitch and got
the res. CC! INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's
Strawberry Fields Forever was 2nd in veteranclass with CQ this day.
02.04.11: Casper/ Zelini's Premier League
in Finland has now been to his last puppyshow and was BOB for the fifth time. He
also was BIG-3 in a large group. Now we are looking forward to his debute in
juniorclass next weekend!
27.03.11: In Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League
has been to puppyshows the two last weekends and he has been BPOB both times.
The first time there were 7 Springerpuppies and he was not placed in the group.
The second time there were 4 Springerpuppies and no finals for the puppies were
held. Some shows in Finland don't have finals for the puppies and I never seem
learn which ones as we always have finals for the puppies here in Norway. Anyway,
our sincere congratulations to his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon. :-)
05.03.11:
Today Casper/ Zelini's Premier League
was at another puppyshow and he was BOB again. There were no finals for the
puppies which seems quite strange, at least for us Norwegians. Owners are
Johanna and Katariina Isola, kennel Kahdensiskon.
20.02.11: GOOD NEWS FROM FINLAND! In Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League
has been to an all breed puppyshow in Lohja. He won the breed and there were as
many as 14 Springerpuppies entered under judge Leni Finne. The group was
judged by Elina Haapaniemi, and Casper won! A total of 113 puppies were entered
in group 8. We had some hopes for a placement in the BIS-final because it was
the same judge that judged the group but unfortunately he was not placed.
Nevertheless Casper had a great day and we send our sincere congratulations to
his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon, Katariina and Johanna Isola.
22.01.11:
It was time for the Folloshow, and this was going to Maya's/ Zelini's
Golden Goal day. :-) 86 puppies of all breeds were entered, and
Maya was the only Springer so that went just fine. In the group she was showing
her socks off all the way to the first place, and the spectators said they had
no doubt about the winner! Maya just wanted to win! She is showing so much I
hardly manage to keep up with her. I feel it is a little messy but the
spectators said it looked very nice. :-) After a little powernap for Maya she
was ready for the BIS-final, and she wanted so much there as well but she was
beaten by a lovely imported Doberman. We are very pleased that Maya now has her
feet on the ground most of the time and that she is soooo happy in the ring. :-)
In Trondheim her sister Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick
was entered to another puppyshow. She was BOB, but not placed in the group this
day. Izzie has been shown in three puppyshows so far and she has been BOB all
three times so she is really living up to her name Hattrick! ;-)
15.-16.01.11:
WONDERFUL START ON THE NEW YEAR! Some of last years puppies have been
to puppyshows this weekend, and they have really done us proud! Saturday Casper/ Zelini's Premier League
was entered to a puppyshow in Lohja, Finland. Ten ESS-puppies were entered and
Casper was BOS! ;-) See video of Casper on You Tube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cUiII6o_6g It's really fun to see videos
like that when they live so far away, and I was thrilled to see how happy he was
and what a good mover he is!
Caspers sister Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick (the photo) was on a
puppyshow in Trondheim, Norway, yesterday and she was BOB and she even won the
group! This was a two day show and she had to go back for the BIS-final today.
She ended up being BIS-3 among a total of 130 puppies of all breeds! Judge both
days was Vibeke Paulsen, wellknown breeders of the fantastic beautiful
Statesman American Cockers. Huge congratulations to clever owner Dina
Arnevik who handled Izzie herself.
Today there were another all breed puppyshow and this time on Vinstra.
Bertil/ Zelini's Budweiser, owned by Marie Gundersen, was BIR and Group
2nd.
Well done! Unfortunately the photo of Bertil was very blury, so I guess we have
to show him here later. ;-)
04.12.10: Finnish owned (by kennel Kahdensiskon) Casper/ Zelini's Premier League has been to a puppyshow in Tallinn, Estonia, were he was BPOB. Unfortunately he lost his concentration in the final and was not placed.
27.11.10: The Norwegian Spaniel Club is 75 years this year and celebrated with a huge jubilee-show with a new record of entries here in Norway. Judges were invited from England and USA, and a lovely lunch was served to all present. In other words; partytime! :-) 18 ESS-puppies were entered and first in the ring was Bertil/ Zelini's Budweiser in the class 4-6 months. He won his class and was 2nd best male. In puppy bitch 4-6 months we were heavily represented. Winner was Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal, 2nd was littersister Adja/ Zelini's Play Off and 3rd was Tress/ Zelini's Corona Extra. Maya was 2nd best bitch. Among the adults we didn't have many entered. Viggo/ NUCH. SEU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was entered in a HUGE championclass were he didn't place. First I didn't mean to enter him but when I found out that some of his offspring were entered I thought it would be nice to enter a progeny class. This was his first and he got a Prize of Honour so that was nice. :-) ham. We had entered an open bitch, Ville/ Zelini's Barossa Valley, and she won a huge class and was placed as 4th best bitch among 50 something bitches. The bitch placed 3rd got the CC so it was a little bitter being that close to the CC in such tough competition...
Here are the puppies who were shown:

Zelini's
Play Off
Zelini's Corona Extra

13.-14.11.10:
This was the first
weekend possible for our summerpuppies to go to puppyshow as they were 4 months
this week. Three of them were shown and best of them was Izzie/
Zelini's Hattrick when she and her owner Dina Arnevik both made their
debute in the ring in Orkdal Saturday. 9 Springer-puppies were entered and not
only did Izzie win BOB-puppy, she was also placed 2nd in a large group where
group 7 and 8 were judged together. Well done, we are soooo proud of you!!!
The same day but another place, at Stord, Tress/ Zelini's Corona Extra
was 2nd best bitch only beaten by the older bitch.
Sunday there were a puppyshow at Kongsberg and our own Maya/ Zelini's
Golden Goal was entered. 8 Springerpuppies were entered, and I think it
is the funniest thing ever for Maya. She bounced around the ring and looked like
something between a kangaroo and a cirkushorse.... She won her class but was
beaten by the older bitch who behaved a little better... We'll be back!!!!!!!
10.10.10: The Norwegian Kennel Club had their show at Hamar this day and we showed two dogs under judge Christen Lang. Casper/ Zelini's Remington Super Magnum won juniorclass with EXC but was not placed any further as the judged correctly thought he needs more time. Ville/ Zelini's Barossa Valley was 3rd in Open with EXC.
25.-26.09.10: SUPER WEEKEND FOR VIGGO'S OFFSPRING! Two shows were held in Bergen in western Norway this weekend and Viggo's offspring really did daddy proud! :-) Saturday Cool Dogs Calvados took the dog-CC and was 2. best male. This was his 3rd CC. His littersister Cool Dogs Cha-Cha took the bitch-CC and was 2. best female. Sunday Viggo-son Bobwhite Spring Fairytale was BOB and BIS-3-puppy. Cool Dogs Calvados took the CC this day as well and he was even best dog and BOS! Huge congratulations to all concerned!!! We are so proud of you all. ;-)
From
our own breeding it seems like the working dogs are doing best nowadays. This
time it was Iva/ Zelini's Alice Springs with owner Sigrun
Erlandsen who had entered a hunting ability test and they passed under judge Per
Løkken. Well done!
When I say the working dogs are doing best I must add that I haven't been to any
shows for almost six months. We will show more next year, but untill then
it's fun that the workers are defending our good name and reputation!
18.09.10: In a show in Sortland, up north, Bobby/ Zelini's Remington Sportsman took his first CC and was even BOS. Happy owner is Per Jørgen Nordstrand.
05.09.10:
ANOTHER GREAT DAY IN THE FOREST! Yesterday the Spaniel Club har their
hunting ability test in Møre og Romsdaland judge was Inger
Handegård. Seven dogs were entered, and four of them passed. One of those was Helene Botterli
with Ville/ Zelini's Barossa Valley,
and not only did they pass, Ville won the whole test! Helene
was absolutely ecstatic on the phone and soooo proud!!!! She told me she had
never won anything in her entire life and it was an absolutely amazing feeling! Ville
got a super review from the judge and we send our sincere congratulations to
Helene. Well done!!!
In Sverige, in Vännäs, Viggo-son Creebay Ringside Rumour took his 3rd CC today
and was 2nd best male. Unfortunately he is not yet two years and so he didn't
get any title yet. But it will sure come!
:-)
21.08.10:
SUPER TRACKINGDAY!: We are very busy in the kennel nowadays with 14
puppies almost ready to leave but luckily other people are out there defending
our honour and good reputation! :-) This day there were a tracking trial
in Bjerkvik,
near Narvik up north, and entered there was Anne Britt Vifladt with Annie/ NUCH.
NVCH. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun and Per Jørgen Nordstrand with
Annie-son Bobby/ Zelini's Remington Sportsman. Bobby
made his debut this day and he did it with style! I received a very happy SMS
telling me they got a 1st prize! Annie started shortly after, and she was even
better. She got a 1st prize and a Prize of Honour (from a judge claiming
he never gives Prizes of Honour!) and she won the whole trial! Bobby was placed
third. Congratulations to you both for a fantastic day. :-)
At the spanielclub trial in Askvoll in Sogn and Fjordane the very same day
Annie-daughter Tuva/ Zelini's Diamond Hunter gained her second
1st prize and was placed as no 4. Owners are Ellen and Torstein Solset. Huge
congratulations to you as well!
25.07.10: Other people are going to shows while we are cuddling the puppies. Viggo-son Cool-Dogs Calvados took his second CC yesterday at the Spaniel Club show in Moss. Judge was Kari Haave. Well done to owner/ breeder Lisbeth Sandlund.

TIRIL
/ NUCH. NVCH. ZELINI'S DEEP PURPLE
01.03.99 - 15.07.10
It's been a few days since Tiril left us, and hopefully I manage to write a few words. Tiril has been very healthy all her life untill February this year. She seemed tired and not very well and we took our first trip to the vet. After that we had several trips to the vet during the spring/ summer and there were new things coming up every time. I understood which direction it took but nevertheless it was tough for us when she collapsed and her body couldn't make it anymore. The vet told me that the right diagnosis was old age. Tiril was a dog with tons of personality, and sometimes she was a little too much. But she was always kind and good with everyone, and it's terribly quiet in the house without her.... We miss her a lot, but is happy to have her children and grandchildren around us. She has had a huge impact in our breeding programme, and we will always remember her. Rest in peace, our beloved Tiril!
14.07.10: We got 3 puppies on 12.07.10! For more information take a look at our puppypage -> current litters.

09.07.10: We got 11 puppies on 08.07.10! For more information take a look at our puppypage -> current litters.
Last weekend some Viggo-offspring did well in the ring. :-) In Sweden the Springerklubben
had their Club Show and BIS-intermediate was Creebay Ringside Rumour.
Well done to owner Emma Rehn and breeder Lena Vängbo.
Here in Norway there was a double-show in Trondheim the same weekend, and Sunday Cool-Dogs
Calvados took his first CC! He was also 2nd best dog. 3rd best dog was another Viggo-son
by the name NSVCH. Ursa Major's Supermario. Among the bitches Calvados' sister Cool-Dogs Cha Cha
was placed as 4th best bitch. Huge congratulations to owners and breeders!
The picture is showing Cool-Dogs Calvados towards his first CC!

01.07.10: Tuva/ Zelini's Diamond Hunter is now qualified for
searching wounded game! Congratulations to owner Torstein Solset.
11.06.10: ULTRASOUND: We have been to an ultrasound today and both girls are pregnant with normalsize litters! If you want to read more about our upcoming litters please take a look at our puppy page -> currents litters.
05.06.10:
The summer is here and we are still resting on our laurel's
after our success in Finland. :-) But others are active and that's good.
Today Tuva/
Zelini's Diamond Hunter, owned by Ellen and Torstein Solset, got
a 1st prize on a tracking trial in Luster. Winner of this trial was a Viggo-daughter
named
NVCH. Merjano's Barbie Girl. She got a 1st prize with a Prize of Honour. Last
weekend there were two shows at Jevnaker, and I just had a couple of youngsters
entered. On Saturdays show
Ville/ Zelini's Barossa Valley was 2nd in intermediate with a Prize of
Honour. Emil/
NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On
the Roof was 3rd in championclass. Sunday I showed
Casper/ Zelini's Remington Super Magnum in juniorclass where he was
placed 3rd. Casper was unfortunately way to skinny, and hopefully he will do
better later on when he has gained some weight. :-) Ville/ Zelini's
Barossa Valley was 2nd in intermediate this day as well, this time with
excellent. Emil/
NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On
the Roof was 3rd in championclass with excellent.
I guess there are some of you waiting for news about the pregnant ones. :-) We
are going to an ultrasound on Friday, and I will publish the result here
immediately. Kelly is most certainly pregnant as she has been feeling sick
during the
last week. Ylva
was mated almost a week later than Kelly and it's hard to tell so far if she's
pregnant or not. We will get the answer Friday. :-),
25.05.10: NEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION!!!!! Thursday morning we sat in the car, Kari Knudsen and I, headed for Finland. We drove to Stockholm and took the nightboat over to Helsinki. When I ordered the tickets it was very difficult to know what kind of cabin we got because there were just a lot of codes that didn't mean a thing to me. Luckily we got a super cabin with plenty of space and even a TV. :-) We had a nice evening with good food and cosy surroundings. Friday morning we drove into Helsinki, and to the hotel recommended by the show committee. The hotel was situated only 1,5 km's from the showground and during the Friday we were walking the dogs to the show area to get to know the place.
On
Saturday 40 Springers were entered under Mrs. Jenny Miller, kennel Feorlig, UK.
Viggo/ NUCH.
SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story won championclass, and ended up
as 2nd best dog with res. CC and res. cacib. He had one of these days where he
wouldn't stand still for a second which makes me so stressed.... When it was
time for
Ylva /NUCH. SE U(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever
she started with winning the championclass. Then she went best bitch with CC and
cacib and finally BOS. That makes her a Finnish champion (and Nordic champion
with titles in Norway, Sweden and Finland) and International
champion!!!! This was our third International champion of our own breeding !!!!
It was a little too much for me and I must admit I cried some tears of joy there. :-) Ylva
is mummy's girl and it was a little too much for mummy a moment.... It was a
little hard to concentrate for the BOB-competition so I look deadly serious on
the photos! I called home when it was all over and I didn't manage to say
anything, just cried and cried, but my husband Øyvind understood what happened! :-D
After
Saturdays show the trip went on to Hamina about 150 km's southeast of Helsinki.
It felt kind of strange driving towards Russia and we saw signs with "St. Petersburg 315 km's"
on them, and we even saw signs with Russian letters. It was quite exotic and
when we arrived the hotel there were even some Russian people there and some of
them were pretty drunk! But they were friendly and very happy to see the dogs.
Sunday the show were held inside an old fortress and it was a very pretty place
to be. (See the photos). There were even a lot of birds landing in the ring and
they didn't care at all about the dogs and the people. I was not the only one
having problems trying to make my dogs to keep the focus. Judge for 21 Springers
was Tarja
Hovila, kennel Adamant, Finland. Viggo was 2nd best dog with res. CC and res. cacib
this day as well so there weren't any new titles for him this weekend. Ylva was 2nd
best bitch but she got her titles Saturday so it didn't matter.

VIGGO-OFFSPRING DOING WELL:
Some of
Viggo's offspring have been out this weekend as well and in Østersund, Sweden, Creebay Ringside Rumour (pictured
on the left) tok his first CC. Huge congratulations to owner Emma Rehn and
breeder Lena Vängbo. In Norway there has been a tracking trial and Vibeke Gundersen's NSVCH. Ursa Major's Super
Mario has taken one more 1st prize this weekend. Our sincere congratulations
goes to owner Vibeke and breeder Solveig Holth.
14.05.10: MATING NO. 2! Ylva has been mated to Zeneck and puppies are
expected week 28. Read more about those litters on our page planned litters.
09.05.10: MATING! Kelly/ NUCH. Zelini's Cappuccino has been mated to Winton The Winner Takes It All. Puppies expected week 27.
07.05.10: Ragg/ Zelini's Surfers Paradise
has been DNA-tested for fucosidosis and cord1, and he is free of both.
Viggo/ NUCH.
SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story now has 25 offspring out of 6
different litters in Norway and Sweden x-rayed, and they all have free hips!
Ylva /NUCH. SE U(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever
has got her season as well, and she will be mated next week. Kelly will be mated
Sunday.
27.04.10: SEASON AT LAST!
Kelly has finally got her season and she will be mated in the end of
next week. For more information take a look at our puppypage -> Planned litters.
18.04.10: NEW CHAMPION-OFFSPRING: Today Viggo got another champion-offspring
when Merjano's Barbie Girl took her tracking-title!
Well done to breeder and owner.
Still no news about the
girl's seasons....
03.04.10: TRIP TO STOCKHOLM: We left home in rain and snow and
0 C and arrived Stockholm with the sun shining and +10 C. There were no snow at all in Stockholm,
and we even saw some flowers blooming already. Meriel Hathaway (UK) had 63
Springers, and we brought Viggo and Ylva this time. Viggo/ NUCH.
SE U(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was 2nd in a strong
championclass, only beaten by his daddy Lleyton. Viggo was also 4th best dog.
Ylva /NUCH. SE U(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever
won a
championclass with very nice bitches and ended up 2nd best bitch with res. cacib
AGAIN! We miss that one cacib for an international title and it feels a little
like time is running out for us now. Ylva is seven now, and will have her
last litter this summer. Hopefully she will be in condition again after the
puppies and we have to see if there are any shows suiting us, but it feels a
little slow right now.....
For
those of you waiting for our bitches to come into season - so are we!!! Nothing
is happening at the moment....
06.02.10:
This year started with a Spaniel Club Specialty in Skien where Anne Berit Waskaas
judged the adults and Karl Eddie Berge the puppies. We had brought a lot of
young dogs this day and for many of them it was their very first show.
Intermediate class dog was won by Ragg/ Zelini's Surfers Paradise
who later on was 3rd best dog. He even took his second CC on his seond show! :-D In championclass
Viggo/ NUCH.
SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was placed 4th with EXC and
Emil/
NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On
the Roof was 5th. In juniorclass bitches there were two sister entered, Tira/
Zelini's Franchi Alcione and Lykke/ Zelini's Beretta Ultra Light.
Tira was placed as no. 4 and Lykke wasn't placed this day. In intermediate
Iva/ Zelini's Alice Springs was placed 2nd. Three Springerpuppies were
entered under Karl Eddie Berge, and Kiro/ Zelini's Smooth Criminal
was the youngest of them all. But he had no respect for the older puppies and
went BOB and
BIS-3-puppy. :-D This Spanielclub even had juniorhandling and the winner
was Margit Spikkerud with Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On
the Roof .
03.02.10:
We are starting this year with some healthresults. Today three new hip-results
regarding NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story's offspring were
published on the DogWeb. They were all free and so far 19 of his offspring have
had their hips x-rayed and they are all free. :-D From the litter from AUSTCH.
Kinsheran Kilimanjaro out of NUCH. Zelini's Love Is In the Air three are now
x-rayed and they are free as well. They are: Zelini's Barossa
Valley, Zelini's Surfers Paradise and Zelini's Snowy Mountains. We have had some
dogs eyestested lately and they were all free. These dogs are: Zelini's Surfers Paradise,
NUCH. Zelini's Cappuccino, NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story and
NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever .
LOOKING BACK AT THE YEAR 2009:
In addition to the breeders groups there have been very good individual results
with 7
new titles to the Zelini's this year. NUCH. Zelini's Macchiato, NUCH. Zelini's
Cappuccino and NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof all got their showchampiontitles
this year. NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun got her trackingtitle, NUCH.
SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story got his Swedish showchampiontitle and DtJCH.
DCH. VDH Dt Klub CH. Zelini's
On Cloud Nine got two of his three titles this year. We even have two more
CC-winners this year: Zelini's Give Me Five and Zelini's Surfers Paradise.
The workers have been few but good. As mentioned above NUCH.
NVCH. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun got a 1st prize on a tracking trial and her
trackingtitle. One weekend later she took another 1st prize and at the same
trial NUCH. NSVCH. Zelini's Next to Nothing took a 1st prize as well. He
even got a Prize of Honour. In the obediencering NUCH. Zelini's Cappuccino
took a 1st prize in class 1, and she even won the class with fantastic 190,5 points (out
of 200 possible). Zelini's The
Chosen One started in class 2, and got a 1st prize with 168,5 points. We have had two litters this year. In
April nine puppies were born by SU(u)CH. Cloette's Joy and Pride ex NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun,
and in September we had 9 puppies again, this time by NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's
West Side Story ex Zelini's Give Me Five.
Viggo's offspring have done well this year despite their young age. From his first
litter NUCH. Ursa Majors
Scarlett and NVCH. SVCH. Ursa Major's Supermario both got their titles this year. Merjano's Barbie Girl
got one CC, 4 x 1st prize at tracking trials, she has passed the hunting test
and is qualified for searching wounded game. Springtrend Red Benly and Backa Tinkerbell Jaunty Me
both got CC's and a few more have done great at puppyshows with BOB and group-
and BIS-wins. Good luck with the Viggo-babies!
I will once again thank all
of you who do such fantastic work with
your Zelini's and I wish you all
the best for the future!!!! Without you I wouldn't have all this success!!! I am
really looking forward to continued co-operation and spending more time with you
in the future. Keep up the good work!!!!
13.12.09: In Sweden this years final shows was held in Stockholm
today. We have spent this weekend at home but one of Viggo's young offspring
have done really well. 10 months old Backa Tinkerbell
Jaunty Me won the juniorclass with EXC, but she didn't stop there! She ended up
being
3rd best bitch (out of 57 bitches) and took her first CC! The funny thing is
that the mating producing her took place at the very same show last year!!! Huge
congratulations to owner/ breeder Elvy Skogli Eurenius.
Here you have the
breeders group this time:

14.09.09: WE GOT PUPPIES: We got 9 puppies on Monday. Check out
our puppypage -> current litter for more information.
12.-13.09.09: TEAM ZELINI ON TOUR! Friday morning we packed the
car full of dogs and ladies and headed for Sandnes/ Stavanger.
The trip went really well even though it was quite a while to drive. The
Norwegian Kennel Club had their International all breed show in Stavanger and Kari Granaas Hansen
(kennel Carillo) was invited to judge the 27 Springers entered. We had all kinds
of weather except for snow during the day so we looked quite rumpled both dogs
and handlers... We brought three males and they all placed in best dog! 2nd best
dog with CC,
championat-title and res. cacib was Lorang/ Zelini's Macchiato,
3rd best dog was Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On
the Roof and 4th was Viggo/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's
West Side Story. We brought two bitches and they did even better! Best
bitch, BOS and cacib went to
Ylva / NUCH.
SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields
Forever. 2nd best bitch with CC and res. cacib was Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino.
Our breeders group got a Prize of Honour. The finals were judged indoors and we
looked more or less like drowned cats... We carried all crates and stuff
inside and just had to start blowdrying everything! First the dogs, our own hair
and our clothes.... We all managed to get dry eventually. There were
8-10 groups in the ring and the judge didn't send any of them out before he
started placing them. First no. 4, then no. 3 and no. 2.... It was quite
exciting because quite a few groups were still present in the ring. One of them
would win and the rest just had to leave the ring... ... AND WE WON!!!!!
What a wonderful feeling when the speaker announced that " BIS-breeder
today iiiiissssss KENNEL ZELINI with English Springer Spaniel!" We have now
placed in the final in all the four NKC-shows we have been to this year and
right now we are no. 3 on the top breeder list all breeds!
Up north Anne Britt
Vifladt started at a tracking trial with her two dogs and they did quite well
too. First one out was Max/ NUCH.
NSVCH. Zelini's Next to Nothing and he got a 1st prize with Prize of
Honour and was placed second at the trial. Annie/NUCH.
NVCH. Zelini's
Annie Get Your Gun, who
got her tracking title last weekend, did also get a 1st. prize this day. It was
very difficult conditions for the dogs due to the heat and dry weather so the
dogs really impressed the judges. Well done!

Zelini's Surfers Paradise - CC and 3rd
best dog
Zelini's Smooth Criminal BOB and BIS-3-puppy
Well, where do I start? This has
been a fantastic year, and I have so many fantastic people around me and I
wouldn't have made it without them. The greatest achievement is without doubt
that kennel Zelini was no. 3 Top Breeder of the Year All Breeds. We have shown
our breeders groups at 6 kennel club shows and we were placed at the first five
with two wins, one runner up, one third and one fourth. We have even won
BIS-breeder at all the Spaniel Specialties we have shown our group. Earlier
years I have had a breeders group from time to time and I have really not
thought much about what it takes. I did well those few times so this year we
decided to give it a try! I think that no-one that hasn't tried this knows how
much work it is. At least four dogs have to be kept in top muscle- and
coat-condition, they have to be kept in good health and free of injuries. This
goes for the handlers as well which has been quite a challenge in these times of
svineflu... The bitches are also preferred not to be in season at the
day of the show. A total of six dogs have been shown in the groups this
year, and as time went by two of them were no longer able to compete, so it was
very important that the rest of them were up and going. NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple (10
years in March 2009) was retired because she didn't like it anymore and NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On
the Roof had an injury in his back after a fall on the agility-course. The rest: NUCH. Zelini's Macchiato, NUCH. Zelini's Cappuccino, NUCH. SU(u)CH.
NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever and NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's
West Side Story managed to stay healthy the rest of the year and managed to take
the 3rd place on the list. I really have to thank all my fantastic handlers and
the owners of the dogs. It was fantastic how you contributed and made this
possible. Thank you all!
03.10.09:
ANOTHER CHAMPION!!!!! This
weekend the Kennel Club had their show at Hamar and it was lovely
having only a one hour drive this time. The trip to Stavanger could still be
felt in my body! Judge Line M. Haugen, kennel La-Faja, made her debute in the
Springerring and she had a little over 40 Springers entered.
Viggo/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's
West Side Story was 3rd best male, and
Ylva / NUCH.
SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields
Forever was 4th best female. Kelly/ Zelini's
Cappuccino
took her third CC (two of them at NKC-shows)
and her championtitle! Congratulations to
Karoline Johansen who has had a fantastic autumn with her dogs.
The breedersgroup containing the three beforementioned dogs and Lorang/ NUCH. Zelini's
Macchiato got a Prize of Honour, and was eventually placed as BIS-3. Of
course I am very happy for that placing which means we are still among the top 3
breeders of Norway this year, but the judge (not the same as the breedjudge!!!!)
seemed like she couldn't care less... It didn't feel good at all. The breeders
group are usually prejudged in a ring next to the main ring, but not this time.
We stacked the dogs when she entered the ring but she told us to relax. "I'll do
the judging in the main ring" she said and turned her back at us. We were the
last group to enter the ring, and we hadn't even begun to stack our dogs when we
saw the judge list up her placings for the ringsteward. None of the groups were
allowed to move their dogs, she didn't touch the dogs or go over any of the
groups. She just stood there in the middle of the ring and made her placements
in less than 30 seconds... It just doesn't feel right! Don't misunderstand me,
the groups that were no 1 and 2 are really good groups so there is nothing wrong
with them, but we had been there all day and the judge didn't make an endeavour
at all to do her job. The competition among the breeders groups at the Kennel
Club shows is very hard and it's quite a job keeping at least four even dogs in
hard show condition all year long and I think we deserve judges that care a
little bit more than that. It was very disappointing having a judge like that.
Sunday
the Spaniel Club had their specialty and the judge Michael Masters (kennel
Manchela) had 22
Springers in the ring. He was not that excited about our dogs and only two of
them were placed.
Viggo/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was 2nd
best dog and Ylva / NUCH.
SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields
Forever was 4th best bitch. The bitch-CC went to a Viggo-daughter -
Springtrend Red Benly.
This day we also showed the 4,5 month old Orion/ Zelini's Smith & Wesson.
He lives nearby the showground and I hadn't seen him since he left us 8 weeks
old. Owner
Therese Z. Larsen had trained him well and he was a pleasure to handle. He
himself had a little trouble dealing with his long legs and he was definately in
the worst age. :-)
Orion was BOB and BIS-3-puppy.
30.08.09:
THE WORKING DOGS DID IT TODAY! There's is no problem staying at home
when you have such skilful puppybuyers.
;-)
First one out this morning was Karoline Johansen and her Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino
who attended an obedience trial. They started in class 1, got a 1st prize and
won the class with 190,5 points (out of 200 possible)! Both Kelly and
Karoline were really eager and they had great fun in the ring. The judge said he
didn't remember when he last gave so many points to a dog in that class. We
congratulate you a lot, and we are so proud of you girls!!!
22.08.09: ANOTHER
DOUBLECHAMPION! Today was obviously the trackers' day. Up north Anne
Britt Vifladt and her Annie/ NUCH. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun
attended a tracking trial and they achieved a 1st prize and was placed 2nd,
which means Annie got her tracking title as well! She is the third
doublechampion (show and tracking) in her litter and there are even two more
showchampions in that litter! It's quite a litter...
At a local trial here Karoline (Johansen) started her NUCH. Copy Cat Hookey's
Waterhole and he got his third 1st prize as well and even his tracking title.
The Viggo-son NVCH. Ursa Major's Supermario got another 1st prize at this title.
16.08.09:
A couple of Viggo's offspring have been out this weekend. Saturday at the
Spanielclub-show in Oslo Ursa Major's Scarlett took her third CC and her
Norwegian championtitle under Ann Corbett (Trimere). Sunday Backa-Tinkerbells
Just Me was BPOB at SKK's Int allbreed show in Nyköping. Congratulations to
owners of both!
We were BIS-4 breeders at NKK's Int. all breed show in Oslo Sunday and I think
we are 4th at the list of top breeder all breeds so far this year. The results
will be published from NKK later this week.
10.08.09:
SUPERNICE WEEKEND IN SWEDEN:
Friday morning I loaded the car with dogs and stuff and started the long trip
down to the south of Sweden. First of all we were going to visit kennel
Trollängen to take a look at their puppies. (No, I am not having one...) The
puppies where lovely and it was a very even litter with lots of quality. We
enjoyed a lovely lunch and a lot of springerchat before we headed off for kennel
Beeline in Helsingborg. We were staying there for the weekend. It was as always
lovely to meet and to talk about the breed we love so much! It was wonderful
meeting Sheila/ Zelini's Great Sandy Desert again as well and I
haven't seen her since she left us at 10 weeks. Saturday we were preparing the
dogs for the show Sunday giving them all a bath. We had a very nice time
Saturday night celebrathing Ingrid Svensson's (kennel Sanque's) 50th birthday.
Again a great mix of good food and Springertalk. ;-) Sunday we were going to an
International all breed show in Ronneby about 200 km's away. Finnish judge Paula
Heikkinen- Lehkonen judged 43 Springers. Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West
Side Story won open class and ended up as 4th best dog and he won the
CC and got his Swedish title! Sheila won juniorclass with EXC. Ylva / NUCH.
SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields
Forever was 2nd in championclass and 2nd best bitch with res. cacib
sooo close to an International championtitle.... Well, well, anyway we are very
satisfied with the day even though it was a little too hot. The drive back home
went really well even though it was a little bit longer than I thought. I
thought it was about 600 km's but it turned out to be 720 km's... But with a new
Swedish champion in the car it was no big deal actually! ;-)
Pia/ Zelini's Give Me Five has been to an ultrasound and is
pregnant. Her puppies are due mid September. Read more about this litter in our
puppy pages.
Latest news about Viggo's offspring: Merjano's Barbie Girl took her first CC last weekend!

26.07.09: Moss Dogclub had invited the Danish judge Birthe Scheel to judge 21 Springers. Our team was well represented and it turned out like this: 2nd best dog Even/ NUCH. Copy Cat's Hookeys Waterhole, belonging to Karoline. 3rd best dog Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof (owner Cathrine Spikkerud). Dog-CC went to a debutant in juniorclass, 11 months old Ragg/ Zelini's Surfers Paradise owned by Svein Schjølberg. We had only one bitch with us, Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino, but she did well with 3rd best bitch and her first CC! Congratulations to co-owner and handler Karoline Johansen.
Zelini's Surfers Paradise took the CC on his first show!

Viggo's offspring is continuing to do well. Cool Dog's Calvados was BPOB and even won the group and his sister Cool Dog's Cha-Cha was BOS-puppy. In the woods has Mira/ Merjano's Barbie Girl attended two tracking trials this weekend and she got a 1st prize on both! This young girl has now 4 x 1st prize, but she is not yet 2 years old so we have to wait for her showmerits for her tracking title.
Kelly on the move!
18.07.09: Viggo has got his first champion-offspring! Ursa Major's Supermario has managed to achieve three 1st prizes in a row on tracking trials and he even got Prize of Honour twice. He is now a NVCH. Congratulations to owner Vibeke Gundersen and breeder Solveig Holth. This is from the first litter sired by Viggo and they were two years old in May this year, so we hope there are more to come ;-)
17.07.09: We are expecting puppies: We are hoping for puppies in September. You can read about that in our puppy pages -> planned litters
05.07.09: Viggo's (NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story) offspring are continuing their winning ways this weekend. Åsnes og Omegn Hundeklubb had their show and Ursa Major's Scarlett (owner: Solveig Holth) took her 2nd CC and was 3rd best bitch. In puppyclass two puppies from Viggo's latest litter was BOB and BOS. BOB was Cool Dogs Calvados, and his sister Cool Dogs Cha-Cha was BOS. Calvados even won the group! Congratulations to breeder/ owner Lisbeth Sandlund.
04.07.09: Today Kari Prøven and Pia/ Zelini's Give Me Five achieved their first CC and they even got BOS. Well done! Leila Kärkas from Finland judged the Springers. In Sweden Viggo-daughter Creebay Step A Side was BPIS at SSRK's show in Kalix. Congratulations to owner/ breeder Lena Vängbo.
25.06.09: In the summerheat Astri Merethe Helle and Mocca/ Zelini's Caffè Mocca have entered a tracking trial and they got their 2nd 1st prize. We hope for one more this summer to achieve the championtitle! :-) A son of Viggo, Ursa Majors Supermario, did also achieve a 1st prize in a tracking trial and he even got a Prize of Honour.
17.06.09: I am sorry to tell you that Scarlett is not pregnant, so there will be no puppies here for a little while. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in our future puppy-plans.
13.06.09: 1.PRIZE OBEDIENCE CLASS 2: Anakin/ Zelini's The Chosen One and Marianne Aarstad had a good day winning obedience class 2 today. They got 1. prize with 168,5 points.
07.06.09: BIS-2 BREEDER AT THE NKK All Breed Int Drammen: This show was held in all kinds of weather except snow... Judge this day was Yvonne Meintjes from South-Afrika, and even though she didn't give out many excellents she said afterwards that the quality on the Springers here in Norway was incredibly high and it was a nice problem to have so many lovely dogs to chose from when placing them... Well, well, the only one of our boys getting an excellent was Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof. He was 3rd in championclass, but was not placed further. Ylva / NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was placed 2nd in championclass with EXC, but was not placed further. Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple was 2nd in veteran with EXC. Our breeders group got a prize of Honour and in pouring rain we were placed as BIS-2 only beaten by a nice group of Flat Coated Retrievers. We are now placed as no. 4 on the Kennel Club list over top winning breeders all breeds even though we have only shown groups at two Kennel Club shows this year.
06.06.09: NEW TITLE IN GERMANY: In Neumünster in Germany Svenja Loose showed her Lasse/DtJCH. DCH. VDH Zelini's On Cloud Nine at an International all breed show under Mr. Erwin Deutscher (Austria), and they took CC, cacib and BOB. He even got a German Klub champion-title! Well done!
30.05. - 31.05.:
The Norwegian Spaniel Klub had hte Main Show Saturday with Mr. Stig
Arne Kjellevold, kennel Westaway, judging Spaniels for the very first time in
this country. We had one puppy entered, Ragg/ Zelini's Surfers Paradise,
and he was shown in the class 6-9 months. This was the puppyclass with the
biggest entry and he won it! He was beaten by the younger puppy dog though for
best dog competition so he was finally 2nd best dog. We had a few more
grown ups and first out were the boys in championclass;
Even/ NUCH Copy-Cat Hookeys Waterhole (owned by Karoline who is
extremely important for our team!), Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West
Side Story and
Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof. In championclass
these three boys were placed as no. 1, 2 and 4. Even was even placed as 3rd best
dog. Among the girls Ylva / NUCH. SU(u)CH.
NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever
was 2nd in championclass and 3rd best bitch. Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH.
Zelini's Deep Purple
got EXC and was 2nd in veteran but not placed further.
Our breeders group got an Prize of Honour and ended up as BIS-breeder! The dogs
from left to right: NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof, NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's
West Side Story, NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple and NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06
Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever. We got a fantastic critique I just have
toshare with you: "Fantastic group of highest quality. It's very rare to see
dogs so similar in type from one and same kennel. They all have particularly
beautiful heads. Three out of four have super fronts. All have fantastic
hindquarters. Effective movement typical of the breed. They are all shown in top
muscle- and coat condition. Lovely coats. An exemplary breeders work to be
followed. CONGRATULATIONS!" Thank you so much to judge Stig
Arne Kjellevold for those beautiful words, and to Frank Bjerklund for this
lovely photo.

Sunday NSK Buskerud had their show at the same showground and judge this day was Mr. Jan Roger Sauge, wellknown for his beautiful Mambrino Labradors. We had no puppies this day but was involved nevertheless when Viggo-daughter Cool Dogs Cha-Cha went BOB and BIS-1-puppy. Litterbrother Cool Dogs Calvados was BOS. Well done to owner and breeder Lisbeth Sandlund! First one out from our team was Lorang/ Zelini's Macchiato who won Open class with EXC, but unfortunately he wasn't placed further. Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was 3rd in championclass and 4th best dog. Among the girls Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino was placed 3rd in open class. Ylva / NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 3rd in championclass. Our breeders group got a Prize of Honour and ended BIS even this day!
In Sweden this weekend Zoe/ Zelini's Snowy Mouintans was BOS-puppy Sunday.

Right BOB:
CH Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone
Left BOS:
NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story
09.-10.05.09: ZELINI'S SUPERWEEKEND! We had a wonderful time in
Kristiansand this weekend! the fun started Saturday at the Int all breed
Kennel Club show where
Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story first won a really
stron championclass and the went all the way winning best male and BOS with
cacib. We also had to adult ladies with us and the best one of them was Ylva/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields
Forever. She was 4th best bitch. Judge this day was the Italian Guiseppe Allessandra.
BUT the day had just started for us... We showed a breeders class who got a prize of honour and it went all the way and won BIS-breeder!!! It was incredibly fun beating a lot of breeders classes who have done really well the last years. We have shown our breeders classes mostly in the Spaniel Specialties so this was a lot of fun!

Sunday was another day with beautiful weather and we were going to the Spaniel Club Specialty where Gareth Lawler (UK) was invited to judge. Gareth is wellknown for his lovely Roqfolly Springers. One of the puppies born here last autumn met us there and we were so pleased to see her. She had developed so nicely and she went all the way and won BPIS!

The adults continued doing our day! Lorang/ Zelini's Macchiato took his second CC, Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story went 4th best dog, and Ylva/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 3rd best bitch. Granny Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple got EXC but was not placed this day. We showed the same breeders group as the previous day and won BIS-breeder this day as well!!!!
03.05.09: Astri Merete Helle and her Zelini's Caffè Mocca got their first 1st prize at a tracking trial today. They are planning for more trials so we are waiting for more exciting news this summer. A daughter of Viggo, Merjano's Barbie Girl, got her second 1st prize at a tracking trial yesterday.
02.05.09: The Spaniel Club in Rogaland had originally invited Susan Sheilds (UK) to judge but she was sick so in a very short notice Frank Bjerklund (kennel Westaway) approved to judge there. That was a good thing because he awarded the BOB and BIS-3 to Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof. We congratulate owner Cathrine Spikkerud with a wonderful weekend! I assume the long way back home is no big deal now. :-) Cathrine is doing all the trimming and handling all by herself so we are really proud of them!!! Well done!!! BOS this day was INT NSUCH NVCH Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone.
02.05.09: In Sweden Zelini's Snowy Mountains made her debute at the Springerclub puppyshow under UK-judge Bob Jackson (kennel Mompesson). Zoe was BOB and BIS-2. Congratulations to owner Annelie Karlsson, kennel Linmoor.
01.05.09: NEW CHAMPION: In Rogaland Marion Sloan judged 17
Springers and she gave the CC, champion-title and BOB to Cathrine Spikkerud's
Emil/ Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof. Our sincere gratulations!!!
Emil is the 5th champion in that litter. There were eight puppies in that litter,
two of them have never been shown, one has got EXC, and five are champions (two
of them even show- and trackingchampions!) Do I need to say we are very pleased
with that litter? BOS went to NORDCH Nimblewhit Winter Affair and the bitch-CC
went to the Viggo-daughter Springtrend Red Benly.
01.05.09: ANOTHER TITLE IN GERMANY: In Germany there was an International europasieger-show and Walter Schickter judged the Springers. He gave the CC and the Dt CH. VDH-title to Svenja Loose's DtJCH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine. Well done!
24.04.09: WE GOT PUPPIES!!!! Annie got her puppies yesterday and there
were a total of 9 puppies, 3 boys and 6 girls. One of the boys and three of the
girls are
liver/white/tan and the rest of them are liver/white. It all went very well and Annie
is an excellent mother. They have all gained weight during their first 24 hours
and they are all full of life. You can read more about them at our puppypage.
WE ARE EXPECTING A SECOND LITTER: This week we did an AI on Scarlett
with the imported semen from the beautiful Australian boy AUS CH. Kinsheran Kilimanjaro.
She is due in week 26. You can find more information about this litter on the
page "planned litters".
23.03.09: Annie has been to the vet today for an ultrasound and according to the vet she has a normalsize litter.
01
25.02.09:
WE ARE EXPECTING PUPPIES:
14.02.09: Annie is now in season and will soon be mated. Look out for news on our puppypages!
23.11.08: BIS-2-BREEDER AT NKK HAMAR!!!!! Mrs. Tarja Hovila from Finland, wellknown for her beautiful Adamant's ESS, judged 57 ESS at the last show this year. Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was 3rd in the championclass with EXC. His mum Ylva/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever ended as 2nd best bitch with EXC and res. cacib. Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple was second in veteranclass with EXC beaten by this days BIS-veteran CH. Westbound Way to Go. Our sincere congratulations goes to Frank and Stig! Our breeders group went BOB. There were a lot of breeders groups in the final and there were hardly room for all the groups in the ring. We were so proud to be placed 2nd among all those nice groups! Unfortunately nobody took photos in the big ring so I have nothing to show you. All the winners were photographed somewhere else but the other ones placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th was not photographed at all. Quite strange in such a big show!
08.11.08:
All the puppies are gone now after we brought little Sheila
with us to kennel Beeline in Helsingborg, Sweden, this weekend. We have had a
lot of positive feedback and they are all doing well in their new homes.
We didn't go all the way to Helsingborg just for handing Sheila over to Eva, we
also attended the SSRK' show in Åstorp. We didn't have our best day in the ring
and all we got was Tiril as BIS-3-veteran. We can get that at home so that's not
why we went there....
Because we went to that show Saturday and came home at 9 p.m. after a 600 km
drive we were not going to the show in Kongsberg Sunday. Emil/ Zelini's Fiddler On The Roof
represented us and he won open class with EXC and was placed as 2nd best dog. In
the puppyring a Viggo-daughter won BPOB! Springtrend Red Benly was best out of 8
ESS-puppies and she was later that day placed as BIG-3!
From our previous litter we co-own Zelini's Barossa Valley/ Ville with Helene Botterli in Molde. Before Ville left us we took a DNA-test, and the answer came this week. Ville is GPRA Cord1 Clear.
06.10.08: Yesterday the NKC had their International all breed show at Kongsvinger and judge for 45 Springers was the Belgian Labrador-breeder Phillippe Lammens. Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story won a really strong championclass, but was beaten in best dog where he was placed 3rd and he got the res.cacib. Toten-Tiril/ Zelini's Double Espresso was 3rd in intermediate even though she was completely naked! I am sure she will do better when she has grown some more hair.... Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple was 2nd in veteran but not placed in best bitch.
The
hunting season is here and the hunting reports keep coming in. Some of the
photos are unfortunately only coming to my mobile so Birk/ NUCH. Zelini's Jesus Christ Superstar
have to represent the hunters with this duck he is
retrieving to dad! Rossi/ Zelini's Twentyfour Carat
has been to woodland hunting and his latest catch was a big
blackcock. In the west of Norway Wilma/
Zelini's Sound of Music has tracked several
deers and elks and the hunters shot a 300 kg bull elk for her.
23.09.08: We got a nice mail from Svenja Loose in Germany telling us that her Lasse/ DtJCH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine has been x-rayed and the result was A1. That's the best possible result! 6 out of 9 puppies in that litter has now been x-rayed and they all got A-hips.
21.09.08: Joppe/
Zelini's Shoot Baby Shoot has been to his first puppyshow. He won the
breed and the group but when we were in the BIS-ring he was sooo tired he could
hardly stand on his feet. He rolled over on his back or tried to jump on me all
the time so the poor judge was not able to see how beautiful he is. But with
some more training we will do better next time!
13.-14.09.08: TEAM
ZELINI IN STAVANGER: Our team was once again represented by Karoline
Johansen and Cathrine Spikkerud. This time they brought Emil/ Zelini's
Fiddler On the Roof, Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino, Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's
West Side Story and Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple.
Saturday there was a Spanielclub show and judge was the John Gillespie (UK) known
worldwide for his beautiful Lochranza Cocker Spaniels. BOB and BIS-1 was the
wellknown NORDUCH. Westaway Into the Mystic. Our sincere congratulations goes to
Frank and Stig! But our team did really well anyway! Viggo was 2nd best dog and
3rd best dog with CC was his brother Emil. This was his first
CC and he is the 5th in his litter to achieve CC. Kelly won the intermediate
class with a Prize of Honour and Tiril was 2nd best bitch and BOB-veteran. Our
breeders group got a Prize of Honour. But the girls didn't stop there! Our
breeders group went all the way to BIS-1 and so did Tiril who
was BIS-1-veteran for the 4th time this year! It's even the 4th
time we win BIS-1 with our breeders group. It's obviously no problem staying at
home with small puppies when I have so good people around me!
Sunday there was an International all breed Kennel Club show with Danish Alex
Krasilnikoff judging 21 Springers. Emil got the CC this day as
well and was placed as 2nd best dog with res. cacib. 3rd best dog was Viggo.
Kelly won the intermediate class with a Prize of Honour and Tiril was 3rd best
bitch and BOB-veteran. Our breeders group got another Prize of Honour and was
later that day placed as BIS-3! Tiril came quite late for the
BIS-veteran final because of the breeders group and she was not placed this day.
Thanks a million,
girls!!!! You did a marvellous job and I feel a little reduntant here....
I got some news about a son of Viggo: Merjano's Bobby Brown passed the hunting
ability test this weekend. Well done!
06.09.08: Today the spanielclub in Østfold had their show in the beautiful place called Rygge bygdetun. Judge was Christen Lang, and he had 36 Springers entered. I was not present as I was at home with my small puppies and I was preparing a birthday party for my dad at 70. Team Zelini was represented by Cathrine Spikkerud and her Emil/ Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof and Karoline Johansen who showed her own Even/ NUCH. Copy-Cat Hookeys Waterhole and Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple. First one out was Emil who was placed 4th in open with EXC. Then there was Even who really had his day and showed himself as best he could. He won the championclass, and was later on best dog and BOS! BOB was Ursa Major's Shine On. Tiril showed really well (see the photo on the left), and won championclass and was placed 3rd best bitch. In the end she was even BIS-veteran!!!! There is absolutely no problem staying at home when the rest of the team is doing such a good job!! Well done Karoline with a great day!

We received a nice mail about one of Viggo's offspring. 6 months old Valborg / Springtrend Red Benly has been to a big all breed puppyshow where she went BOB, BOG and BIS-2!!! It was a fantastic debut, and we congratulate Snorre and Ragnhild Aslaksen so much. More Viggo-offspring have been out; His first litter was born at kennel Ursa Major and Ursa Majors Scarlett got the CC at NKK Trondheim this spring. Two of her siblings have achieved EXC. Five from this litter have got their hips x-rayed and they all free.
One of his offspring from kennel Merjano is doing well in the woods. Merjano's Barbie Girl, 9 months old, took 1st prize in blood tracking and she was even qualified for searching wounded game. One month later she passed the hunting ability test! We congratulate all of you with Viggo's offspring doing so well. Grandma is proud!
Valborg taking BIS-2 at puppyshow
31.08.08: WE GOT PUPPIES!! We have six puppies, two boys and four girls by AUSTCH. Kinsheran Kilimanjaro out of NUCH. Zelini's Love Is In the Air. You can read more about them in our puppypages.
25.08.08: Lasse/ DtJCH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine
got his 4th CC and BOS at a show in Kassel this Sunday. Judge was Louis Van Bael from Belgium.03.08.08:
In Soltau, Germany, there have been two shows this weekend. Saturday Lasse/ DtJCH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine won the open class but was not placed any further. Sunday the Spaniel Club had their Club Show and Lasse took the CC and BOS! Happy owner is Svenja Loose.27.07.08:
On this years hottest day so far there was an all breed show in Moss with Ove Germundsson (Sweden) judging 30 Springers. I wasn't there myself but Karoline took the trip with her own Even/ NUCH Copy-Cat's Waterhole and Tiril/ NUCH NVCH Zelini's Deep Purple. Even was 2nd in championclass with EXC but wasn't placed in best dog. Tiril was 3rd best bitch, BOB-veteran and BIS-3-veteran thanks to Karoline. Tiril doesn't want to go with me in the ring so if it hadn't been for Karoline Tiril wouldn't have done so well this year! Thanks Karoline for doing such a great job with our grand old lady!25.07.08: Today it has been confirmed that we really have puppies coming soon! We went to the vet for an ultrasound and he could tell us that we had a normalsize litter coming. She is due in week 36. Please take a look at our puppypage if you want some more information on this exciting AI-litter!
We had Pia/ Zelini's Give Me Five visiting here today, and she has developed to a beautiful young lady. We took a new photo of her and you can find it on her page. She has been eye- and glaucomatested free today. Her hips were x-rayed as well but we need to wait for the Kennel Club to get the result. The vet said they looked great though! :-)
We finally got some summertemperatures and it's really hot! On the photos you can see how happy the dogs and our son Stian are celebrating the beautiful weather!

03.07.08: PUPPIES COMING:
We have had AI done on NUCH. Zelini's Love Is In the Air using semen from AUSTCH. Kinsheran Kilimanjaro. She is due week 36. Take a look at the page for planned litters for more information.29.06.08: NKK Bjerke: The Norwegian Kennel Clubs International all breed show at Bjerke was this year judged by the Swedish judge Ola Eriksson (kennel Geltman's) who had 46 Springers in the ring. We had only two dogs entered this day, but it went quite well anyway. ;-) Among the dogs Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was placed 2nd with res. cacib. The winner was the wellknown NORDUCH NV-07 Westaway Into the Mystic who not only was BOB, he even went BOG and BIS-2!! Our sincere congratulations to Frank og Stig at kennel Westaway!!! Among the bitches NORDUCH NORDV-02 NV-03-04 Westbound Way to Go was best, but 2nd was Ylva/ NUCH SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever who also got the cacib as the winner was a veteran.
28.06.08:
Last night I came home from a weeks holiday in
Italy. Of course there was a heatwave and all of you who know me know that I
don't handle the heat very well... After all it went quite well and I even got
some tan! ;-) We arrived the airport here at about 6 a.m. and we were all quite
tired when we came home to all the dogs and Karoline. Karoline has been looking
after the dogs while we were gone and not only that, she had given all the dogs
a bath AND blowdried them before todays show! I was sooo happy!! Karoline, I
have said it before and I will say it again; You are the best!!!! Thanks for all
your help!!!
Todays show was the spanielclub show in Oslo with
Svein Helgesen judging 35 Springers. In juniorclass Lorang/ Zelini's Macchiato
was placed first again with EXC. In championclass Viggo/ NUCH.
NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was placed 3rd with EXC and later on he
was 4th best dog. Championclass bitches was won by Ylva/ NUCH
SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever with EXC, and she
was even best bitch and BOS. In veteranclass Tiril/ NUCH NVCH
Zelini's Deep Purple was 2nd with EXC. Our breedersgroup consisting the
four abovementioned dogs went BIS-1-breeder!
14.06.08:
In the obedience-ring Anakin/ Zelini's The Chosen One had his second start and he achieved his second 1st prize gaining 171 points out of 200 possible. This time he was placed 4th. Owner is Marianne Aarstad.07.-08.06.08: This weekend there were two shows in Trondheim. We arrived kennel Winton (Vanja and Dag) late Friday night after a hot and troublesome drive. We had problems with our car on the way but a call to my husband Øyvind solved the problem. Together with him I checked a few things and we found out what was wrong and I managed to repair it! I was afraid the dogs would overheat in the car but we had fans at their crates and they did well. What surprised me is that no-one stopped and offered their help. We were standing there, two beautiful (???) ladies, and not a single car stopped... Disappointing!!!!
Saturday
there was an International allbreed Kennel Club show and Carole A. Coode (UK)
judged 45 Springer. First one out was Karoline with Lorang/
Zelini's Macchiato. They were placed 3rd in
juniorclass with a Prize of Honour. Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story

05.04.08:
At an international all breed show in Berlin, Germany, Svenja Loose and her Lasse/ DtJCH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine took the CC, cacib and BOB under the Dutch judge Alice Bennink-Smies.
29.03.08:
